What does the job involve?
Are you interested in working with Norwegian customs and excise challenges in Equinor ASA?We have the largest in-house indirect tax department in Norway, consisting of 11 highly skilled indirect tax experts, both economists and lawyers. The position is placed in the department Indirect Tax Norway within the Tax function in Equinor ASA. You will be working with customs and excise advisory services, supporting the operational business and our internal compliance function.
What will my tasks be?
Within this position, your key tasks will be to:
- Proactively support, challenge and contribute on key processes, strategies and competencies within the customs and excise area.
- Contribute to capture external context and industry trends within given specialisation and translate into an Equinor competence context.
- Contribute to strategy implementation and execution.
- Manage projects and/or are responsible for key tasks.
- Utilise skills across the company on priority projects and for quality assurance.
- Find innovative solutions, and contribute to develop and promote best practice within specialisation.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Economics or another relevant Customs and Excise qualification.
- 7+ years of relevant experience working with Customs and Excise. This may be from a legal background, as an economist or from working within appropriate customs authorities.
- Knowledge or experience of working with tariffs.
- Fluency in Norwegian and English is required.
- Excellent MS Office/O365 skills. Good knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
