This ia a 2-year contract position as a Cybersecurity Analyst in the Digital Services & Technology Office.
[What you will be working on]
The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for managing daily cybersecurity operations, responding to incidents, analyzing security alerts, and enhancing cyber hygiene awareness. This role includes security monitoring, incident response, reporting, and automation of cybersecurity processes.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
a. Threat Monitoring & Response:
Utilize Cybersecurity tools for monitoring and follow-up actions.
Analyze and decode suspicious emails and security alerts
Review security logs for anomalous activities
Coordinate cyber resilience exercises (CMX/TTX) with vendors and report findings.
b. Cybersecurity Awareness & Reporting
Develop and execute cybersecurity awareness programs
Curate awareness programme to promote Cybersecurity hygiene
Plan and conduct phishing exercises, compiling results for management reporting to ACISO.
c. Security Infrastructure & Automation
Assist in setting up, managing, and troubleshooting the Information Security (IS) portal.
Monitor and report ABLR-generated alerts, explore automation with Splunk.
Research and implement AI-based tools for cybersecurity automation and countering evolving threats.
[What we are looking for]
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst with a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and a passion for protecting digital assets.
A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as threat detection, incident response, and network security. Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM (e.g., Splunk), Darktrace, or SOAR platforms is a plus.
Knowledge of phishing detection, malware analysis, and email security.
Exposure to cloud security and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, MITRE ATT&CK) is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving cybersecurity threats.
Good communication skills for reporting and collaborating with teams.
Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
A proactive attitude toward cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
1-2 years’ experience in cybersecurity, threat analysis, or incident response is a plus.
