Job Title: Data Center Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to join our team. This role involves racking and stacking equipment, building data cabinets, and performing cable management in a dynamic data center environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Rack and Stack: Install servers, switches, routers, and other hardware in racks/cabinets
• Cabinet Setup: Build and configure data cabinets per safety and design standards
• Cable Management: Route, label, and secure cables neatly and efficiently
• Equipment Testing: Power up and perform basic diagnostics on installed equipment
• Data Center Maintenance: Assist with monitoring temperature, power, and environmental systems
• Documentation: Record all hardware installations, configurations, and changes
• Safety Compliance: Follow all workplace safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with data center rack and stack tasks
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with servers, networking hardware, and basic configuration
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in tight spaces, and stand/kneel for extended periods
• Attention to Detail: Ensure high standards in installation and cable organization
• Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying and reporting basic hardware issues
• Team Player: Collaborate effectively with technicians and project managers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a large-scale data center environment
• Knowledge of industry-standard racking systems and cabling practices
• Understanding of network hardware (e.g., routers, switches) and server setup

Job Type: Full-time

• 8 hour shift
