We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deck Builder Leader to spearhead our deck construction projects from start to finish. <Responsibilities>
- Lead and supervise deck construction teams, ensuring all work aligns with project plans, schematics, and safety protocols
- Coordinate daily activities on-site, including scheduling, resource allocation, and task delegation to maximize efficiency
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication equipment to execute precise carpentry and structural work
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to interpret project requirements accurately
- Conduct construction inspections to verify quality control, adherence to building codes, and safety compliance
- Manage subcontractors and vendors for specialized tasks such as roofing, electrical wiring, plumbing rough-ins, or custom fabrication
- Ensure all worksite safety standards are maintained and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members
<Requirements>
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on deck building or related carpentry disciplines
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and construction estimating processes
- Hands-on experience with various construction trades including framing carpentry, trim carpentry, roofing, masonry, concrete finishing, and stucco application
- Familiarity with Bluebeam software for digital plan review and project documentation
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools essential for detailed carpentry work such as door hanging, cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, caulking, plastering, and glass installation
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and safety regulations applicable to outdoor deck construction
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members
