Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare teams.
• Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and care plans, ensuring safety and accuracy at all times.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, including cooking and meal planning for residents in assisted living or home care settings.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties in accordance with health standards.
• Support residents during outings or community activities to promote social interaction and engagement.
• Document care activities accurately in compliance with privacy regulations such as HIPAA while respecting resident confidentiality.

Experience

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and dementia or Alzheimer’s care is advantageous.
• Experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and developing or following care plans is essential.
• Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs enhances your ability to provide tailored support.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or hospice care experience are a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working compassionately with residents, families, and healthcare professionals are crucial for success in this role.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
