Position: Dock Worker

Location: Saskatoon, SK

Type of employment: Full-time

Hours of work

Wed to Fri 04:00 to 12:30

Saturday 8hrs on call

Sunday 8hrs on call

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting in the preparation of freight, including labeling, cubing, and scanning
• Maintain safe working procedures and environment
• Ensure a forklift checklist has been completed at the beginning of the shift
• Stage freight in the correct order by postal code and/or city
• Prepare trucks before loading
• Load and offload any trailers in an orderly manner
• Report any accidents to supervisors immediately
• Cube or re-weigh any skids received
• Practice caution while handling fragile items
• Any additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Physically fit and able to lift 75 lbs. as required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both individually and as part of a group
• Minimum 6 months of counter balance forklift operating experience
• Minimum 1 – 2 years experience of warehouse experience
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Must have own transportation to work
• Ability to work on a team and be a team player
• Must be comfortable with using onboard or handheld computer devices
• Must have a safety and compliance mindset
• Employer will provide necessary training
