Responsibilities

• Supervise dogs during playtime, ensuring safe interactions and appropriate behavior
• Assist with dog training activities to promote good manners and social skills
• Handle dogs using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including pet grooming and sanitation tasks
• Monitor dogs for signs of stress or illness, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets’ activities and well-being
• Assist with pet sitting duties when required, ensuring each dog’s individual needs are met with care and attention

Requirements

• Prior experience in dog handling, pet grooming, or animal care is highly preferred
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a plus
• Experience working as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is advantageous
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for cleaning or moving supplies and equipment
• Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of animal restraint and behavior management
• Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for animals

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
