Pet Paradise, a dog and cat open-concept daycare, overnight stay, and grooming facility, has openings for energetic and organized individuals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with dogs and cats and providing exceptional care in a daycare and boarding setting.

Duties include:

• Supervising play between dogs and cats to ensure all interactions are appropriate and safe.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs and cats in the facility.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' behavior and well-being.
• Assessing new dog /cat clients to ensure daycare is appropriate for them.
• Bathing and drying pooches.
• Administering medications (oral and topical, no injections).
• Assisting customers with checking in and out.
• Answering telephone and email inquiries.
• Handling customer payments.
• Clean and maintain daycare and boarding areas, including play areas and restrooms.
• Cleaning up all messes, up to and including urine, feces, and vomit (a strong stomach is a must).
• Must be physically able to handle dogs that can weigh 170lbs.
• Ability to be outdoors during varying types of weather.
• Deep cleaning of the entire facility happens a minimum of twice a day, so must be motivated to maintain cleanliness.
• Other duties as required.

Ideal Candidate traits:

• Must love dogs and cats.
• Be very reliable and consistent.
• Timely attendance.
• Ability to work flexible days and hours, including holidays and weekends.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Previous experience working with dogs in a daycare facility is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience working with Animal Rescue Institutions is considered an asset.
• Pet Emergency First Aid and CPR is an asset.
• Open availability is considered an asset.

Pay: From $16.00/hour

• 8-hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Weekends

Transportation:

• Own mode of transportation
• Public Transit Bus Stop is nearby available, if required.

We are open Monday to Friday from 6.30 AM to 7 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Shifts will include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
