Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will create detailed truss plans using Simpson software. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and project managers. The Drafter will play a crucial role in ensuring that designs are accurately represented and meet project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed truss plans for a variety of building projects using CAD software.
• Collaborate with builders, architects, and homeowners to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design calculations, material lists, and building permits.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from the clients.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all drafting and design work.
• Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and related documentation.

Skills

• Proficiency in Simpson software (or similar software; MiTek, Alpine, etc.) is essential for creating detailed truss designs.
• Experience in construction is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with mechanical design principles and the ability to create mechanical schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
