Welcome Centre Duty Manager

Reports To: Welcome Centre Manager
Department: Operations

Role Purpose

The Welcome Centre Duty Manager is responsible for supporting the safe, secure and efficient operation of the Welcome Centre. The role involves ensuring compliance with House Rules, carrying out routine inspections, responding to incidents and concerns, and helping to maintain a safe, respectful and welcoming environment for all residents, visitors and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure residents comply with the Welcome Centre House Rules.
• Conduct regular inspections of bedrooms, communal areas and the Centre grounds.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, disputes and emergencies.
• Complete accurate incident reports and inspection records.
• Report maintenance, health and safety or safeguarding concerns to management.
• Monitor access to the Centre and ensure visitor procedures are followed.
• Support the wellbeing of residents through positive engagement and appropriate signposting.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the Centre.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all company policies and procedures.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete accurate reports.
• Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including evenings and weekends.

Desirable

• Previous experience in residential accommodation, hospitality, security, healthcare or a customer-facing role.
• First Aid, Fire Safety or Manual Handling training.
