Duty Officer

Spencer Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park is a recreational destination stretching over 17 hectares, where guests can relax and unwind in a huge campground in the middle of a 70 hectare forested reserve, or take part in one of the many activities nearby. Situated just 20 minutes from the city and airport, we're also only 500m from the beach. Serving up great experiences and excellent services for our community, our people are nothing short of awe-inspiring in the level of service and assistance they provide for the people of Christchurch and beyond.

About the team | Ko te rōpū nei

Duty Officers are an essential part of our team, you will help us provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment to our guests at all times. This is a hands-on role focusing on the accommodation and amenities in the park. The camps accommodation consists of 31 rooms, a 36 bed lodge and an 18 bed homestead.

Day-to-day duties include:

• Housekeeping
• Cleaning of toilet/shower and kitchen blocks
• Assisting with laundry
• Assistance with customer service when required
• Exterior building cleaning and grounds work

About you | Ko Koe Tēnei

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or the hospitality sector
• Reliable and demonstrate a high standard of work ethics.
• Friendly, helpful personality, get on well with other people, able to relate well to our guests.
• Trusted to unsupervised or as part of a team.
• Work cooperatively with others, follow instructions, and use initiative
• Problem-solving and communication skills
• Physically fit and capable of physical duties
• Full NZ Drivers Licence - able to drive a manual vehicle

Please note you will be required to work most public holidays, and the main holiday period (Christmas to Feb approx.), as this is our busiest period.

• Position: Permanent, part-time.
• Days & Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 9.30am - 3.30pm.
• Location: This position is primarily based at Spencer Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park, 100 Heyders Road.
• Salary: $27.80 per hour, we pay the current NZ living wage!
