We're seeking a passionate and highly organized Education Lead to join our team. In this pivotal role, you'll be the driving force behind our instructional team's success, ensuring our educational programs are exceptional. You'll lead, mentor, and manage our instructors, overseeing their performance, class management, and overall accountability. This role is perfect for someone who excels at leadership, loves fostering a positive learning environment, and can manage the complex logistics of class scheduling and special events.
Responsibilities
- Lead and Manage Instructors: You'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of instructor management—from onboarding to ongoing professional development. This includes conducting performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, and holding instructors accountable to our high standards for teaching and professionalism.
- Classroom and Floor Management: Ensure smooth, efficient operations. You'll oversee classroom and floor coverage, making sure all classes are well-staffed and that instructors are prepared and on time. You'll also be a key point person for any in-the-moment issues that arise.
- Scheduling and Logistics: Take ownership of our class schedule. This includes creating and managing the regular class schedule and the more complex logistics of specialty classes. You'll also coordinate with guest artists and visiting instructors, ensuring their events run seamlessly.
- Quality and Curriculum Oversight: Work to maintain a high level of educational quality across all programs. You will observe classes, provide coaching, and ensure our curriculum is delivered effectively and consistently.
- Communication and Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between the instructional team and senior management. You will communicate new policies and procedures, gather feedback from instructors, and work collaboratively with other leads to achieve organizational goals.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in an educational leadership or management role, with a proven track record of managing and mentoring a team of instructors or educators.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are a must. The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is critical.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of Cosmetology, Esthetics, and Nail Technology. Barbering is a plus.
- Problem-Solver: You are proactive and adept at identifying and resolving operational challenges before they escalate.
- Attitude: A positive, collaborative, and professional attitude. You should be a motivator and a mentor who inspires excellence in others.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
