Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing business. You will be responsible for the electrical design of innovative automation solutions. You will be involved in proposal development, working closely with other departments, and reviewing project progress against schedules. You will ensure that Electrical and Pneumatic Schematics are accurately created for all projects and create electrical documentation and sign-off documentation for technicians.
This is a 12 month Maternity cover contract.
Key Responsibilities:
· Partner with engineering teams to devise cost-efficient electrical solutions for cutting-edge automation systems.
· Craft Electrical and Pneumatic Schematics that adhere to international standards, ensuring a seamless and compliant design.
· Conduct a meticulous evaluation of electrical components to optimize system performance and cost-effectiveness, maximizing value for our customers.
· Produce comprehensive documentation, including Bills of Materials, Hardware Design Specifications, and Machine Manuals, for easy reference and efficient operation.
· Actively contribute to the Machinery CE Certification Process, ensuring compliance with the 2006/43/EC Machinery Directive, guaranteeing product safety.
· Provide unwavering support to the electrical teams during the machine build, commissioning, and installation phases, ensuring a smooth transition from concept to reality.
· Seek out and implement innovative solutions or processes, driving operational excellence and enhancing our competitive edge.
· Engage wholeheartedly in a Continuous Improvement program for skills development, expanding knowledge and expertise to better serve our customers.
Qualifications & Experience:
· 2+ years in an Electrical Engineer role
· L8 Degree in Electronic/electrical engineering or similar
Key Skills & Abilities:
· Effective communication and the ability to work harmoniously with others in a multifunctional project team are crucial.
· Strong troubleshooting abilities to effectively diagnose and rectify electrical malfunctions, ensuring system functionality.
· Experience with EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical is an essential.
· Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Experienced in developing project timelines that balance budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
· Experience in the technical design and specification of automation equipment.
