Core Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Mentors and trains Process Operators
  • Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality
  • Coordinates team activities sets daily expectations for safety, quality and scheduling.
  • Drives continuous improvement and conducts housekeeping/5S audits.
  • Issue LOTO, Hot work and confined space permits
  • Perform duties of floor supervisor when supervisor is away from plant
  • Read and follow documented processes
  • Check on equipment throughout the shift to ensure equipment is working properly
  • Loads and unload deliveries to and from regional branches Operate computer to enter necessary documentation
  • Able to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment Make and monitor adjustments in plant via control systems Maintain inspection and inventory of operation tools Contributes to division

  • Take care of internal and external customer needs to and expectations Operate equipment specific to area such as
  • CARBON: Bag products, samples and test and properly label each bag; manage spent carbon feed to reactivation furnace; switch tank feed from tank to tank of spent carbon; calibrate PH probes, operate a filter press; run facility wastewater treatment plant; calibrate weigh belt every other hour; check incoming city water TDS daily; Insure POTW discharge parameters are within permit limits; perform hourly inspection of WWTP and complete the log
  • REGEN: Sort bottles by size and type of resin; Operate forklift to move resin tanks and materials through factory, may assist in loading trucks; evacuate bottles and regenerate resin batches; fill and quality test SDI products (process SDI product beginning to end); complete quality control documentation; monitor different meters, gauges, and pressures; regenerate resin to replenish mobile de-ionization trailers
Position Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED 2 required.
  • Minimum five years of experience in an industrial setting
  • Knowledge of chemicals used in specific regeneration processes
  • Must be licensed forklift driver or able to obtain forklift certification at time of hire
  • Must understand process flow of carbon/reactivation process
  • Must be able to complete 40-hour hazardous waste operations training as well as additional site specific safety and operator training
  • Able to maintain, troubleshoot and repair process machinery
  • Ability to lead a work team, and to communicate clearly to team members and management
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Preferred: Some manufacturing/plant experience preferred. Experience with implementing 5s and lean manufacturing principles
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis. Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
  • Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • May work indoors and outdoors as needed.
  • Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
  • May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
  • May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
  • Work surfaces may include concrete.
  • Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone
Salary range:
$61,900.00 - $99,000.00
