THE ASSOCIATE SERVICE SPECIALIST plays a critical role in an emerging area of our business, playing an integral part of our mission to revolutionize the pharmaceutical industry’s approach to physician engagement. The Associate Service Specialist travels to physicians’ offices within an assigned territory providing pharmaceutical resources and information to physicians and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) in their offices. The territory includes a regular route of physicians with whom the Service Specialist will need to establish on-going relationships. Most time will be spent calling on physician offices in the assigned territory, with a modest amount of planning and administrative work to be done to report activity and ensure record keeping. The company operates a “service-oriented selling model” to support pharmaceutical and other healthcare brands. As such, it requires sales skills and a sales-oriented profile. However, it is not “hard selling” where you take an order in the office. Rather it is more of an influence sale, representing our customers, engaging and presenting information, but without hard closing.
Hiring In: Boston, MA. This position involves coverage of a regular territory that is centered in the Boston metro area and neighboring towns.

Timing: **Right away! These classes will begin on July 30th. Training is split into two parts. First three days of training will be Wednesday, July 30th - Friday, August 1st and are conducted virtually . Followed by in-person training in Philadelphia. The in-person training starts with traveling to Philadelphia on Sunday, August 3rd. The training begins on Monday, August 4th and goes every day through Friday, August 8th. In total, these eight days will be your first days with HCP Concierge and solely focused on training. Please plan to travel (at our expense) and be away from home beginning Sunday through that Friday of in-person training in Philadelphia.
Responsibilities of the Associate Service Service Specialist
- Understanding customer business objectives and supporting HCPs as their primary contact within HCP Concierge
- Operate ethically and in accordance with the company’s process and policies at all times
- Mastery of information; will undergo regular training that requires studying for and passing certifications, both written and verbal
- Manage territory calling on a range of HCPs in targeted physician offices
- Distribute and manage resources within guidelines provided by management
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the market and customers
- Manage territory as a business to achieve call plans and customer satisfaction
- Establish and manage high quality customer relationships
- Execute customer call plans and following-up on customer requests
- Comply with company reporting requirement
- Adhere to all company and industry guidelines and regulations
Job Requirements of the Associate Service Specialist - Pharmaceutical Sales
- Degree preferred – Associates or Bachelors degree from accredited institution preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding organization skills
- Comfortable working independently to achieve results
- Strong work ethic
- Professional, proactive demeanor
- Must reside locally / within assigned territory
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and have a safe driving record
- Proficiency with using technology for business purposes

- Base Salary: $47,000 / Year
- Company Car Program: When joining the company you will have the choice of driving a company car through our fleet program or driving your own vehicle under our reimbursement program. Under the fleet program, you will receive a company vehicle with fuel, maintenance and insurance paid entirely by the company while allowing for a reasonable amount personal use. For the reimbursement program, you drive your own car and the company provides you with a car allowance of $500 per month via payroll (this is taxable income) and then reimburses you $0.25 cents per business mile driven on a monthly expense report. You are responsible for insurance and maintenance of your own vehicle.
