Brighton Home Building Centre is a “PRO” store for Home Hardware, with a strong focus on builders, developers, professional (PRO) contractors and DIYers.

We are looking for an individual with a great attitude and proven skills at estimating, quoting, homes, additions, garages, decks, etc. The ideal estimator will be experienced at reading construction plans/blueprints with a proven background selling building materials/contractor sales.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Possess a comprehensive understanding of how to read and interpret plans.
• Have a demonstrated ability to do Material Take Offs and Estimates from plans.
• Experience in a home improvement retail setting or construction environment.
• Understand the local building code.
• Have an in depth understanding of building materials and their application.
• Follow the company’s procedures for special orders, quoting and sales procedures.
• Demonstrate a passion for sales and customer service.
• Have a passion for project management and ensure our customers projects are estimated, quoted, delivered and managed in an efficient and timely manner.
• Have strong communication skills.
• Be a proactive problem solver.
• Possess the ability to multitask, adapt and cope with challenging situations.

WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR TEAM

• Minimum of 3+ years in Contractor Sales and or the Home Improvement Industry.
• A proven ability to do Material Take Offs and Estimates for Houses, Garages, Additions/Renovations.
• Knowledge of ProfitMaster and/or Seljax software would be an asset.
• A Do What It Takes Approach.
