Introduction:
At Gowrie NSW, our vision is to empower children to be active participants in society, their voices heard, and their contributions felt across communities. We are seeking an Executive Assistant/Office Manager to support to our CEO and Support Office based in Erskineville.

Description:
About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will play a central role in supporting the CEO and the efficient running of our Support Office. This is more than just an administrative position — it is an opportunity to contribute to a for-purpose organisation and enable initiatives that have a lasting impact on the lives of children and families.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will:
Provide executive support to the CEO, anticipating needs and ensuring they are well-prepared and organised.

Manage diaries, meetings, and travel arrangements with accuracy and foresight.

Manage CEO correspondence and maintain accurate records and files.

Coordinate internal and external meetings and events to ensure they run seamlessly.

Oversee office administration and support the effective operation of our Support Office in Erskineville.

Coordinate the Board meeting cycle, including agendas, meeting papers, and follow-up actions.

Assist the CEO in building and maintaining strong relationships with key external stakeholders.

Lead and deliver organisational initiatives and projects on behalf of the CEO, including our Reconciliation Action Plan.

Provide project support to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and act as a conduit for information sharing.

Contribute to a positive, purpose-driven Support Office culture with a strong customer service mindset.

Balance competing priorities and deadlines with calm and professionalism.

About You

We are seeking a proactive, organised, and adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment and enjoys working closely with senior leaders. You will bring:

Strong organisational skills – confident in managing multiple priorities and shifting demands.

Discretion and integrity – handling sensitive matters with the highest level of confidentiality.

You are not just comfortable managing the day-to-day, but also confident in identifying improvements and contributing to projects that enhance how we work.

Key Requirements & Skills

Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or Office Manager.

Exceptional multitasking and time management abilities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and confidence with digital tools.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
