Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling, excellent customer service skills, and a strong commitment to creating a welcoming environment for clients. This role involves providing professional hair services, maintaining high sanitation standards, and contributing to the overall client experience. The Hair Stylist will also engage in retail sales and front desk duties to support the smooth operation of the salon.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of hair styling services for children ages 12 and under including cuts, fade, braids tailored to client preferences.
• Provide exceptional customer service by listening to clients’ needs and offering professional recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe environment.
• Upsell retail products such as shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and treatments to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
• Manage front desk responsibilities including scheduling appointments, checking in/out clients, and answering phone inquiries.
• Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and foster a positive salon atmosphere.

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients.
• Proficiency in hair cutting techniques.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation procedures to ensure health and safety standards are met.
• Ability to upsell retail products naturally during client interactions.
• Effective communication skills for clear consultation and team collaboration.
• Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
