Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented F&B Controller to lead financial operations within our food and beverage division. This pivotal role involves overseeing all accounting functions related to food and beverage services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving financial efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and management of financial software systems, coupled with a passion for operational excellence. As an F&B Controller, you will play a key role in safeguarding assets, optimizing financial processes, and supporting strategic decision-making to elevate our service quality and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of financial reporting for the food and beverage division, including balance sheet reconciliation, income statements, and cash flow analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections while maintaining accuracy.
• Conduct detailed account analysis and account reconciliation using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and governmental regulations.
• Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and month-end closing procedures.
• Lead budgeting efforts by preparing forecasts, variance analysis, and financial management reports to support operational decision-making.
• Monitor cash management activities to optimize liquidity while maintaining strict control over payroll processing and other disbursements.
• Maintain rigorous internal controls to uphold accounting integrity and support audit readiness for non-profit or public sector entities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial concepts such as cost control, revenue optimization, and financial analysis to enhance overall performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting roles with a focus on corporate or governmental accounting environments; experience in non-profit or public accounting is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards including SOX compliance, IFRS, GAAP, and governmental reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial report writing, account reconciliation (including balance sheet reconciliation), and account analysis.
• Proficiency with multiple accounting software platforms such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar tools; familiarity with financial management systems is essential.
• Solid understanding of technical accounting principles including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Experience managing accounts payable and receivable cycles along with payroll processing.
• Ability to perform detailed financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic planning initiatives.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
