Field Sales Representative

Location: Cork, Kerry & Waterford

Payzone is a leading multi-channel payment service provider, backed by AIB and Fiserv. For over 20 years, we have been connecting people to payments. We offer a range of payment services and solutions for consumers, retailers, charities, schools, and clubs. We build technology and tailor solutions for all.

Payzone are seeking applications to join our Field Team, in order to further develop and grow our client base within the Irish market. This role will ideally suit candidates with a strong sales/service background in the payments/financial services and retail sector who enjoy interacting with the customer and are target focused. The role involves managing a territory, being part of a team and working together to deliver on revenue targets.

Responsibilities:

New Business Development

  • The identification of customer’s needs, the offering of suitable payment solutions to businesses within retail and applicable sectors and the successful recruitment of such customers.
  • Achieve the agreed weekly/monthly sales targets which are aligned to the Company’s objectives.
  • Carry out activities to develop and manage sales pipeline generating potential new sales leads, the qualification of leads and the closing into revenue generating customers.
  • Building relationship with partners and working to generate win-win business for both parties.
  • Cross sell other products and services to merchants in line with company policies.
  • Follow the customer onboarding guidelines in line with Risk and Compliance Policies.
  • Provide updates on competitive trends and customer requirements in the area.

Account Management

  • Manage key accounts, exceptions & churn within the territory.
  • Primary sales point of contact for clients within the allocated territory.
  • Liaise with Internal departments to ensure can do approach for new customers.
  • Identify underperforming sites and new revenue opportunities from existing customers.
  • Provide support in all areas of sales promotions, product solutions and activities associated with creating additional revenue for the company.

Reporting

  • Set personal goals and share with manager.
  • Maintain up to date journey plan.
  • Utilise Sales CRM reporting system.
  • Follows a structured approach to prospect customer visits and presents a ‘Why Choose “Payzone” proposal to prospect decision maker.
  • Ensure all customer records are in order and comprehensive.
  • Compile weekly sales reports & prospect listings.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude and demonstrated track record of using initiative.
  • Capability to develop relationships both within the organisation and with customers.
  • Be hard working and willing to work on your own initiative.
  • Have the ability to learn and grow as a valued member of the team.
  • Enjoy prioritising customer queries and resolving issues.
  • Experience within the payments or financial services sector desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From €30,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

  • Commission pay
