Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Reports to: On-Site Service Manager
Location: Onsite, Leixlip, Ireland
Work Authorization: Applicants must have a valid permit to work in Ireland. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor visa applications for this position.
Job Summary:
HIS Innovations Group Ireland is seeking a motivated and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support to HIS’s semiconductor customer base, ensuring fulfilment of all product lifecycle commitments, and maintaining compliance with the terms outlined in service contracts and agreements. You will be part of a global team, with colleagues supporting customer sites across the US, EMEA, Asia.
As an On-Site Service Engineer, you will demonstrate a high standard of customer service by working closely with clients. This role involves supporting HIS and third-party equipment across a range of applications at a dedicated customer site, in accordance with the scope defined by service or sales agreements.
Job Responsibilities:
· Adhere to customer and HIS safety protocols for both self and team members
· Install, maintain, and service third-party components integrated into HIS systems
· Collaborate with customers, engineering teams, and colleagues to ensure customer requirements and deadlines are met
· Apply effective troubleshooting methodologies to resolve complex technical issues
· Conduct customer training sessions on HIS or others equipment
· Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
· Communicate clearly and concisely regarding customer requests, completed tasks, and required changes
· Be available for occasional travel to support training or assist other customer sites, as required
· Delivery consistently high level of customer service
Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:
· Technical Certificate or degree level in an Electro/Mechanical or Chemical discipline. Previous experience in an engineering service environment. Preferably from chemical, vacuum or Semiconductor environment.
· Or 4+ years of equivalent experience in relevant technical fields such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration or basic vacuum. Experience in Field Service and or the Semiconductor industry is preferred.
· Previous work experience in a site environment is an advantage
· Must have a positive attitude, be energetic and enthusiastic possess a strong willingness to learn and a commitment to excellence. A self-starter who can set priorities can demonstrate initiative and the ability to get the job done. Must be capable of exercising good independent judgment. Possess excellent customer interfacing and communication skills.
· PC skills to enable equipment and service management systems to be scheduled, interrogated and updated, and to produce concise reports. Able to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams.
· Competent in the use of test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools.
· Possess good computer skills which includes thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
· May be required to work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance. Will be required to complete training to work at height using approved fall protection equipment. Able to work with breathing apparatus and physically fit to walk long distances. A medical will be required.
· The job may involve working outside normal working hours, which will include nights and weekends as and when required.
