As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of advanced medical technology equipment within neurosurgery and ophthalmology. In return, it offers independent work with premium products and excellent development opportunities.

  • The opportunity to work with premium products and a globally strong brand
  • Freedom to manage your own workday and develop your technical skills
  • A stable employer with over 175 years of innovation and quality
  • As an employee with us, you will receive a comprehensive onboarding and training program – including both a mentorship program with experienced colleagues in Finland and international training at our headquarters in Germany. We combine e-learning, virtual training, and hands-on practice so you can grow into the role with confidence and expert support.
Responsibilities
  • Install advanced medical technology equipment in neurosurgery, ophthalmology clinics, and refractive care
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment performance and operational reliability
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes
  • Carry out emergency service during unexpected downtime or faults
  • Perform upgrades and improvements on existing equipment
  • Collaborate with a Nordic service team based in Finland
  • Contribute to high customer satisfaction through professional on-site technical support
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has a technical background, preferably in mechanics or electronics, as well as networking/software
  • Has some IT experience, particularly in networking and system integration
  • Is service-minded, self-driven, and comfortable traveling for work
  • Enjoys problem-solving and building strong customer relationships
  • Is fluent in English
  • Holds a valid driver’s license and is comfortable being in the field 1–3 days at a time, occasionally 3–5 consecutive days, with approximately 60–80 overnight stays per year
  • Experience from the healthcare sector or from traveling roles is considered a strong advantage.
