Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Assistant to support our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with daily financial operations, maintain accurate records, and help ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts receivable processes
- Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and payments
- Maintain financial records and ensure accuracy of data entry
- Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding financial matters
- Perform general administrative duties related to finance
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–2 years of experience in a financial or accounting role preferred
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Fluent in English and French (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Business Central
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Preferred Skills
- Experience with financial reporting
- Familiarity with payroll processes
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
