We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Business Partner to join our high performing team of finance professionals on a fixed term through to July 2025. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working with Management Accountants to support a varied portfolio of Budget Managers.
Core to the role is working with the business to provide direction and leadership in the financial planning and management of the business group's strategy, driving sound strategic financial decision making. You will be working with Management Accountants to provide budgeting support, financial advice, information, and analysis to help your customers manage their financial performance and make timely and informed financial decisions achieve each business unit and group business aims and objectives.
We are looking for people who have an eye for quality, strong relationship skills, and that are focused on process improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will seek to combine your technical knowledge with excellent communication (both oral and written) to build strong relationships with your customers to ensure the credibility of financial information and advice is maintained.
You will have the following skills and experience to be successful in this role:
- Strong analytical, strategic and planning skills as well as being commercially savvy
- Able to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships and effective networks across and within organisations
- Experience in analysing technical issues and making business decisions with financial impact
- Strong communicator both written and verbal
- Experience with business cases and project management accounting
- Experience in management reporting within large complex and diverse organisations
- Strong working knowledge of Government Financial Management legislation, policies and practices
- Excellent Excel and Word skills
- Experience in a similar role and environment would be advantageous
- A commitment to building Māori capability - both personally and within your team
- Full CA (or equivalent) preferred

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $110,776 and $154,680 based on skills and experience.
