Finance Manager
Job Description
As a Finance Manager with the Humane Society of Marion County a qualified candidate owns financial operations of a nonprofit organization, including budgeting, reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning to support the organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
· Financial Planning and Reporting: Develop, maintain, and oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent financial statements are prepared for management, boards, funders, and regulators.
· Accounting Operations: Manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations. Supervise daily financial transactions and contributions data entry.
· Grant and Fund Management: Track and manage grants, fund balances, donations, and other restricted or unrestricted funds. Ensure financial accountability and proper allocation of resources.
· Leadership and Training: Provide guidance and training to finance staff as well as non-finance staff on financial policies and procedures. Promote collaboration and accountability across departments.
· Board and Executive Interaction: Work closely with the Executive Director and the board of directors, providing financial insights and recommendations to guide organizational strategy.
· System and Process Oversight: Maintain and improve financial systems, software, and processes to optimize accuracy, efficiency, and reporting capabilities.
Pay: $41,600.00 - $62,400.00 per year
