The Position:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Finance Manager will support the growing needs of Andar Software. This position requires a motivated and energetic individual who is detail-oriented and can meet the demands of a flexible, fast-paced Finance department while maintaining a positive attitude. This individual should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization. The individual will be expected to challenge the status quo, generate ideas, and help implement processes to drive continuous improvement. The individual selected will interact frequently with the corporate accounting, finance, and tax teams. The position is remote and is ideal for someone who enjoys working from home.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Complete day-to-day accounting, including monthly close of multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Prepare internal financial reports and scorecards monthly, along with additional quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
Oversee and review accounts payable and accounts receivable functions performed by the Staff Accountant.
Negotiate select supplier relationships and contracts.
Manage workflows and reporting for sales tax for multiple locales.
Implement new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure tight internal controls.
Facilitate or participate in ad hoc projects and requests.
Some travel may be required. Candidate must be able to travel to and within Canada and the United States.

Education and Experience:

University or college degree in business or accounting is ideal
Significant in-depth knowledge of accounting software and journal entry processes
Experience using Great Plains or similar financial software
Familiarity with standard accounting practices such as IFRS and US GAAP
Advanced Excel and typing skills required
5+ years of Senior Finance related job experience
