With offices in Ireland & in North America, Eolas International provides actionable insights to Quality & Consumer Technical Insights personnel within global CPG & healthcare companies. Our focus is to assist our clients improve their Consumers’ Quality Experience. Our Project Managers in Ireland and the US manage our global network of retail auditors and researchers to deliver high quality and forward-thinking solutions to our clients across the globe. Our IT teams develop customized solutions for data capture and reporting to bring added value solutions to our clients.

How do we do it?

We support our global clients to Improve their Consumers’ Quality Experience across all consumer relevant steps of the supply chain through a combination of the following services:

· Product & Retail Intelligence - Our vast researcher network in over 120 countries conduct 1,000’s of retail audits every year based on client standards. Using our Qual-X Technology, data from these audits is reported in a variety of ways depending on client needs. Our researchers can also purchase products from any market – either in store or through E-commerce - and ship to our clients for further evaluation or to Eolas laboratories for analytical testing.

· Consumer & Product Experience – Through our Qual-X technology our Consumer Insights Team recruit and engage real consumers all over the world to understand their expectations, experiences and interaction with our client & competitor products and the impact of these experiences.

· Laboratory & Sensory Research - Within our LabSens division our Analytical, Sensory & Proficiency Services work closely with our clients Quality and Technical personnel. We are the largest independent provider of Sensory services in Ireland, whilst our Proficiency service is the newest addition to our LabSens division and is experiencing considerable growth.

We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant.

What would you do?

As Financial Accountant you will be responsible for all aspects of Finance & Management accounting for the business. This role is critical in supporting Eolas’ strategic objectives through robust financial planning and analysis.

The key responsibilities include

• Financial Accounting & Reporting: Deliver all aspects of financial accounting (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and financial accounting), including preparation of monthly financial statements from books of prime entry.
• Customer Billing: In conjunction with the accounts assistant, ensure all invoices are created accurately and in a timely manner
• Payroll: Run monthly payroll for 50 staff
• Treasury: Monthly payment to Suppliers and collection of Debtors invoices
• Cost Control: Assist the Finance Director to monitor and manage input costs to ensure profitability and recommend cost reduction initiatives.
• Audit & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including VAT, tax & secretarial filings. Prepare for and coordinate annual external audit.
• Other ad hoc Projects and Admin tasks that will arise from time to time
• Become a member of the Management Team of the company

The successful candidate must:

· Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

· Be a Certified or Chartered Accountant with 3-5 years post qualification experience as a financial accountant in an SME business

· Possess strong Accounting, Financial Reporting and Analytical Skills.

· Have effective communication, organisational and interpersonal skills

· Have an ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

· Be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and accounting software (SAGE would be an advantage).

The role is based in our office in Little Island, Cork with flexibility for hybrid remote working
