Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth client consultations to assess needs, risks, and goals.
- Develop comprehensive strategies across wealth management, superannuation, retirement planning, estate planning, and tax-effective solutions.
- Manage client portfolios to align with financial goals and risk profiles.
- Collaborate with accountants, legal advisers, and other professionals to deliver holistic advice.
- Build client networks within William Buck and externally.
- Attend networking and industry events to stay connected and elevate your expertise.
- Contribute to the division's strategic growth and development.
- Allocate and manage workloads, ensuring operational targets are met.
- Provide mentoring and performance feedback to team members.
- Uphold compliance standards and maintain technical competence through CPD activities.
- Deliver high-quality, clear, and compliant financial advice reports.
- Effectively communicate complex strategies in a manner clients can understand.
What makes you ‘just right’:
- Relevant degree in Financial Planning, Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
- 5+ years in a financial advisory role, ideally in professional services.
- FASEA-qualified and listed on the Financial Advisor Register.
- Evidence of ongoing CPD compliance.
- Proven track record in business development and building strong referral networks.
- Strong knowledge of the industry’s compliance obligations and technical aspects.
- Proficiency in Xplan, Wealthsolver, Xtools+, and Risk Researcher.
- Advanced understanding of investments, superannuation, and retirement planning.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaborative relationships.
- Highly organised with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
At William Buck, we are more than just advisors. Everything we do is designed to have a positive impact—on our people, clients, and the broader community. Our mission is clear: to deeply understand our clients’ needs and deliver tailored solutions that go beyond traditional advisory services.
As part of our Wealth Advisory team, you’ll have the opportunity to work in an environment that values collaboration, personal growth, and innovation. We offer:
- A vibrant workplace culture that encourages friendships and fosters professional excellence.
- Pathways to mentorship and leadership opportunities to support your career development.
- Flexible work arrangements to suit individual needs.
William Buck is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where diverse perspectives are celebrated, and everyone feels valued.
Prior to the next step in the recruitment process, we welcome you to inform us confidentially if you may require any special accommodations in order to participate fully in our recruitment process.
