Our client is an independent financial planning and insurance brokerage with a strong presence in the online Protection Insurance market. Established in 1982, the company has undergone significant growth under new ownership. In the past three years, the team has expanded from 2 to 14 employees, with plans to continue growing over the coming year. They operate with a start-up mentality: dynamic, collaborative, and focused on continuous improvement.
The Team
Their financial sales team is expanding, and they are seeking an experienced Financial Advisor to join the team. The role involves calling inbound leads and using your expertise to guide clients through the advice process for life insurance, mortgage protection, serious illness cover, and income protection — ultimately closing sales.
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Financial Advisor or Protection Advisor role
- Strong experience in life insurance sales (essential)
- Motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Driven by targets and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset and a positive team attitude
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls to individuals who have requested advice or quotes via inbound channels
- Complete financial fact-find documents and prepare tailored insurance recommendations
- Present recommendations in a compelling and persuasive way to motivate clients to proceed
- Prepare written recommendations and follow up with effective, well-structured emails
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Identify cross-selling opportunities for additional products such as pensions, investments, or mortgages
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Financial Advisor position
- Ability to thrive in a target-driven, fast-paced environment
- Strong team player with a willingness to contribute to overall team success
- QFA certification
