Our extraordinary team of 100+ talented and like-minded folks works remotely from across the United States, Canada and the Philippines to collaboratively increase access to high-quality, high-touch mental healthcare. Lavender is a human-first organization and our people embody:

  • Originality and creative instincts
  • Courageous and bold thinking
  • And the potential to achieve even more

If you’re looking for a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment where your voice matters and you can truly have an impact creating high-quality, user-centric mental health services, we want to hear from you!

Lavender is an equal opportunity employer. We are proud to foster a workplace free from discrimination. We strongly believe that diversity of experience, perspectives and background will lead to a better environment for our team and a better experience for our clients. We strongly encourage people of color and members of the LGBTQ+ community to apply.

The Opportunity

The Finance Analyst supports Lavender’s day-to-day financial activities and is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records across our Canadian and U.S. entities. While a professional accounting designation isn’t required, the Finance Analyst must be confident managing budgets, tracking expenses, and handling day-to-day financial tasks. This role reports to a founder, but ideally the Analyst will work largely independently and in collaboration with an external accounting partner.

What You’ll Be Doing

Accounts Payable & Expense Management

  • Process vendor invoices, reimbursements, and recurring payments
  • Track expenses across Canadian and U.S. entities
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for all transactions
  • Monitor bank and credit card balances, flagging discrepancies
  • Support internal AP workflows and budget tracking

Documentation & Record Keeping

  • Keep our general ledger and accounting software tidy and up-to-date
  • Maintain clear SOPs and documentation in Google Drive
  • Support our leadership team with ad hoc financial reports
  • Help organize internal folders so nothing ever gets lost

Compliance & Reconciliation

  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and payment platform accounts monthly
  • Coordinate with external accountants for month-end and tax filings
  • Track and prepare tax payments (federal, state, and city)
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial compliance in both Canada and the U.S.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field—or equivalent experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets, QuickBooks Online, Ramp, Expensify, Slack, and Asana
  • Comfort working across both Canadian and U.S. financial systems
  • Excellent organizational skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Someone who thrives in a remote-first team and is excited to build systems that scale

Why Join Lavender?

  • Work for a company that is truly making a difference in the world
  • Remote work
  • A caring, spirited, and experienced team
  • An international work environment that embraces diversity and inclusion
  • Be part of a growing startup where you have the opportunity to help shape the company
  • In-person meetups
  • Competitive compensation
