Job Overview
We are seeking a Floater/Dental Assistant to join our dental team to cover a leave. In this role, you will provide essential support across various dental procedures and clinic areas, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient care.

Duties

  • Assist with chairside procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Support front desk operations by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical documentation.
  • Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures.
  • Support the team with medical coding, medical records management, and understanding of dental and medical terminology for accurate documentation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a dental assistant or in a dental clinic environment; familiarity with dental assisting duties is essential.
  • Proficiency in Dentrix is an asset
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and dental terminology required for safe clinical practice.
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and effectively; certification in radiography preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and support staff members.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.35-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 28 per week

Work Location: In person
