Job Summary

The Freight Broker is responsible for managing and coordinating freight transportation across the U.S. market. This role involves liaising between shippers and carriers, negotiating freight rates, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of shipments, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and carrier partners. The position requires strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to support efficient logistics operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the movement of freight from origin to destination by working closely with shippers and carriers.
• Build, manage, and maintain a reliable network of carriers to ensure capacity availability and service quality.
• Negotiate freight rates, service terms, and contracts with carriers and customers to achieve cost-effective transportation solutions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing shipment updates, handling inquiries, and resolving service-related issues.
• Monitor shipments throughout transit and proactively address delays, damages, or other operational challenges.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. transportation regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including shipment records, invoices, contracts, and communication logs.
• Analyze freight market trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitive activity to support strategic decision-making.
• Assist in business development efforts by supporting customer retention, referrals, and long-term relationship management.
• Prepare and maintain reports on shipment performance, carrier utilization, and key operational metrics.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in U.S. freight brokerage or logistics operations.
• Strong understanding of U.S. transportation and freight brokerage processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, night-shift environment.
• Proficiency in freight management systems, load boards, and MS Office tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
