Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the logistics of freight transportation, building strong relationships with clients and carriers, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of transportation management, sales, and customer relationship management, as well as experience in the logistics industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their shipping needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with carriers to secure competitive rates for freight services.
• Manage the entire freight process from order entry to dispatching, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and CRM software to track shipments, manage accounts, and maintain accurate data entry.
• Conduct lead generation activities to expand the client base and enhance sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize transportation planning and logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and other industry standards throughout the shipping process.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management, or logistics sales is preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes for both clients and carriers.
• Familiarity with 3PL (Third Party Logistics), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems is a plus.
• Proficient in using CRM software for account management and sales tracking.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and pricing strategies effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
