Position Overview
Thor Xpress is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Freight Brokerage Professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will connect with carriers, negotiate rates, and manage logistics operations to ensure the seamless movement of freight. The ideal candidate will manage the entire brokerage process—from load entry to obtaining the POD—leveraging industry expertise to build strong relationships and contribute to our continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers to facilitate freight movement.
• Utilize TMS platforms to track shipments and manage logistics operations.
• Actively source carriers via load boards to secure reliable capacity.
• Assess freight type, mode of transportation, and client needs to provide tailored solutions.
• Conduct inside sales to expand the customer base and increase revenue.
• Negotiate rates to optimize profitability while ensuring service quality.
• Monitor shipments from pickup to delivery, update internal systems, and provide timely client updates.
• Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure on-time freight movement according to client requirements.
• Ensure compliance with TSA, DOT, and industry regulations.
• Handle multiple freight types: dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, FTL, LTL, air freight, and ocean freight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable freight brokerage experience.
• Strong knowledge of various equipment types (dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, conestogas, etc.).
• Proven ability to negotiate rates and secure dependable carriers.
• In-depth knowledge of truckload, LTL, and Load-to-Ride rates.
• Established carrier relationships; existing customer following is a strong plus.
• Ability to manage and grow accounts while working collaboratively.
• Self-motivated in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in CRM and TMS platforms.
• Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through from booking to POD.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
