Job Description
SmileDesign Dental Care is looking to hire a dental receptionist. We have 5 locations: Downtown Hamilton, Stoney Creek Winona, Stoney Creek King Street, Binbrook, and Oakville. Please see job description below and if interested, e-mail a copy of your resume.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Greet patients
· Enter all relevant patient information into data system
· Maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations
· Answer and manage incoming calls
· Confirm upcoming appointments and recalls according to office protocol
· Check daily appointment schedule
· Fill in cancellations and no-shows
· Organize referrals to other medical specialists
· Dispatch lab work appropriately
· Collect and receipt payments from patients at time of treatment
· Prepare claim forms for dental insurance
· Arrange supporting documents for insurance claims
· Maintain a professional reception area
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
· AT LEAST 1 year of dental experience preferred
· Knowledge of dental terminology and Dentrix is preferred
· Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
