Purpose of Job
In the role of FOH MANGER, reporting to the F&B manager, you will provide an exceptional customer service that our Guests will remember. Your ability to work as a team leader combined with your service and management skills and your engaging personality will ensure that our Guests have a memorable experience. Primary Responsibilities
- To train a strong FOH team.
- To check daily cash outs for errors and correct them before it is put into the system
- Assist F/B Manager with scheduling of Staff for the restaurant, 10th Tee, and beer cart
- Doing weekly orders as needed to maintain supply of liquor
- Policing policies and procedures to ensure staff is following and complying with them
- Programing menus into Pixel Point POS System
- Training staff to use POS system
- Inventory controls of restaurant, bar, beer cart and 10th Tee
- Ability to take orders for the guests.
- To ensure that all morning, mid-shift, and closing duties are done by staff.
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Ability to make & serve cocktails as per the present standards. Have full knowledge of beverage menu.
- Ensuring the restaurant is clean & tidy at all times.
- Making sure inventories are up to date
- Clearing tables and providing quality service to our guests
- Responsible with ensuring all guests leave with a positive dining experience
- Be aware of all Restaurant Environment and Health & Safety Procedures including Emergency Evacuation
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
- Developing & cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests & colleagues alike)
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed by the F&B manager.
- Overseeing all front of the house operations.
- Responding to customer complaints tactfully and professionally
- Maintaining quality appearance for all staff
- Assist Food and Beverage Manager with menu creation, implementation, and training
- Analyze staff evaluations and feedback to improve the customer’s experience
- Look for ways to cut waste and decrease operational costs
- Generate weekly, monthly, and annual reports
- Train new employees and provide ongoing training for all front of house staff
- Assist with the marketing directives from the Food and Beverage Manager
- Assist in promoting the restaurant through all outlets and other means as assigned by Food and Beverage Manager
- Assist with Off-Site catering needs of staff and set ups
- Be fully responsible to fill/cover shifts in all outlets in case staff absence.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as Front of House Manager or Food and Beverage Manager in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, conference centre or Golf Club is required.
- Knowledge of wines, beers and liquor.
- High school Diploma, or College and /or University degree or diploma in Hospitality or business is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Should possess professional attitude, strong interpersonal skills and be a good team player.
- Ability to give written and vocal warnings, instructions and/or training to all staff in the FOH.
- Must have Pro Serve Certificate
- Must have good English skills.
- Must be bondable.
- Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, Microsoft Suites, and POS systems.
Working Conditions
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Work within a 24/7 operation with ability to work flexible hours when required (days, evening, nights, weekends and holidays)
- Must have employment eligibility in Canada
- Must have open availability from April 01 to October 31(No Vacations allowed during this time)
