We here at Beech Lodge Care Facility, provide the highest quality of care to our family/residents and we are looking to expand our team to assist us with providing this home away from home experience. We have openings for both part time and full time team members.

Our Health Care Assistant works as a member of a team delivering care to the residents of Beech Lodge Care Facility

What will you need to do:

Support the nursing staff and team in delivering quality person-centered care to meet the needs of residents

Get to know residents’ interests and needs providing attention, support and companionship

Promote the mobility of residents, supervising and assisting as necessary to ensure optimum mobility is maintained and improved where possible

Enable and assist residents to maintain their personal appearance /hygiene needs whilst always maintaining their dignity

Enable and assist residents to eat/drink and achieve physical comfort

Care for each resident like they are your own family

Any other duties deemed necessary by Nurse in Charge and management.

What are the qualifications/skills needed?

FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare in all relevant modules preferred

Experience working in a healthcare environment (with a good knowledge of HIQA standards) preferable

Excellent communication skills

Ability to maintain a positive approach in a sometimes-challenging environment

Fluent level of English both written and oral

Job Types: Full-time, 39 Hours, Salary €14.80 per hour, €30,000 minimum annual remuneration
