Diesel Tractor/Trailer Garage Manager

Markare Services is a reputable and growing tractor/trailer maintenance and repair facility looking to hire a Garage Manager for our Carleton, MI location. The ideal candidate will be driven to lead a team of mechanics to uphold our core purpose of providing the highest quality of repairs and preventative maintenance that goes above and beyond industry standards. Our Garage Managers are responsible for, but not limited to:

· Adhering to safety standards of employees and equipment

· Upholding DOT equipment standards

· Handling the recall process of parts

· Assigning work to mechanics

· Communicating with operations and customers to ensure equipment is available as needed.

· Training mechanics in current and new technology

· Ensuring the highest quality of work performed by mechanics

· Participate in developing, tracking, and reporting processes for current and future projects

· Assist with assets management, inventory, warrantees and special projects

· Provide reports to directors as necessary

Knowledge and Skills Required:

· 5 years hands on diesel maintenance and repair

· Knowledge of industry standard tools

· Leadership and management skills

· Knowledge of DOT maintenance standards

· Proficient with using computer and software programs

Job Type: Full-time

Experience:

• Diesel engine repair: 3 years (Required)
