General Operatives – Newbridge Foods
Location: Newbridge, Co. Kildare
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: Immediate Start
Newbridge Foods are currently hiring General Operatives to join our busy production facility in Newbridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with previous factory experience who are looking for a stable, long-term role with a well established company.
Job Description:
As a General Operative, you will work as part of a team (typically 6–8 people) on a production line within our main production plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a variety of production machinery
- Loading machines with ingredients, producing sausage rolls, meat pies and fruit pies.
- Monitoring and checking the quality of production batches
- Packing finished product into boxes and building pallets
- Operating PPT (Powered Pallet Truck)
- Maintaining strict Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a factory or food manufacturing environment (essential)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks including standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Flexible with working hours based on production demand
Working Hours:
- Standard shifts: 6:00am to 2:00pm (Monday to Friday)
- Some shifts may start later (up to 10:00am) depending on production needs
- Shifts are typically 8–10 hours long
