JOB TITLE: General Operator based in Carrigaline, Cork

Hassetts Bakers & Confectioners Ltd produce a luxury selection of cream cakes, biscuits, cookies and crackers as well as seasonal show stopper cakes for the retail market. We are currently recruiting full-time General Operators for our Carrigaline bakery to work Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm or 8am to 4:30pm. Successful candidates should also be available to work occasional Saturdays during seasonal periods as dictated by business demands.

We will provide training and mentoring to the right candidate who demonstrates motivation, commitment and an eagerness to learn.

MAIN DUTIES

• Working on our production lines, safely packing products and fulfilling orders in a timely manner
• Checking quality standards on all products produced/packed during shift
• Working efficiently as part of a team to ensure timely completion of tasks
• Completing and maintaining accurate quality and production records
• Adhering to all safety guideline and procedure to maintain a safe working environment
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation of work areas
• Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you by the Production Manager

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a permit to work in Ireland
• Fluent in English
• Food production experience desirable but full training will be provided

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment essential
• Must have an excellent standard of English literacy and numeracy
• Good timekeeping essential
• Excellent attention to detail
• Be an enthusiastic team player
