Job Summary:
The General Physician is responsible for providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages. This includes diagnosing and treating common illnesses, managing chronic conditions, performing routine check-ups, and promoting preventive health measures. The GP serves as the first point of contact for patients and coordinates overall healthcare management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care & Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and take detailed patient medical histories.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., blood tests, X-rays, ECGs) to aid in diagnosis.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic diseases, injuries, and common ailments.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including prescribing medication and recommending therapeutic interventions.
- Preventive Care & Health Promotion:
- Provide routine health screenings and physical examinations (annual check-ups, pre-employment exams, etc.).
- Offer vaccinations and immunizations according to established guidelines.
- Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications, diet, exercise, and preventative care to maintain wellness and manage disease risk.
- Chronic Disease Management:
- Monitor and manage stable chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and hyperlipidemia.
- Adjust treatment regimens as necessary based on patient response and clinical guidelines.
- Referral & Coordination:
- Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare professionals when specialized diagnosis or treatment is required.
- Collaborate with nurses, allied health professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential electronic medical records (EMR) for all patient encounters.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Medical Degree, MBBS, MD General Medicine from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current, valid, and unrestricted medical license to practice.
- Experience: 2+ years of clinical experience post-residency/post-registration preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
