Job Summary

The Tuxedo Club is searching for full-time and part-time experienced golf course outside operations candidates to join our Team! The Outside Operations Staff works closely with all golf staff to provide Members and guests with exceptional service through a variety of responsibilities. Primary focus will be on service to customers, starting and directing play, golf car cleanliness and staging, golf club cleanliness and storage and practice facility preparedness.

Position Responsibilities

  • Greet members and guests and anticipate their needs in advance to provide professional exceptional service
  • Follow procedures for proper opening and closing of the golf operation including, but not limited to cart staging, daily set-up of stations for the driving range and practice green and preparing sufficient amount of golf carts for use
  • Starting/Directing play and assisting Director with directing groups to the tee when appropriate and in an orderly fashion
  • Golf car management including cleanliness, staging and maintenance
  • Golf club cleanliness and storage
  • Practice facility preparedness
  • Closely monitor the Bag Drop and maintain an organized bag room in order to assist members and guests in retrieving golf bags, preparing for play and storing in assigned bag slots
  • Responsible for daily operations of the practice driving range, practice short game area and related range ball retrieval
  • Continually communicate with the Grounds Dept and Professional Staff for any unusual or special instructions as it relates to the golf course, such as cart paths only, golf course restrictions, etc.
  • Assist the Golf Professional Staff with tournament set-up of golf carts and range operations as directed
  • Create a service-oriented environment that includes hard work and communication with co-workers
  • Provide water bottles in the on-course coolers
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in similar capacity
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of typical golf course procedures
  • Must posses valid driver's license

Working Conditions

The Golf Outside Operations role is an hourly position. It is expected that, at times, you may have to work on evenings, weekends, and /or holidays. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the environment is moderate. The employee is required to stand and walk for long periods of time.

  • May need to work in wet or humid conditions, near moving parts, near fumes or airborne particles, in extreme non-weather heat, and in extreme non-weather cold.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk and /or hear
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Employees must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs multiple times per day, and push a cart weighing up to 100lbs
  • Expect to be on their feet for up to 6 hours at time
  • Must practice proper body mechanics and use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury
