Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled GPS Installer Contractor to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting GPS systems in various vehicle types. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to work independently in diverse environments. This position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, ensuring efficient and accurate installation of GPS devices to meet client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install GPS tracking devices in a range of vehicles according to manufacturer and client requirements
• Conduct vehicle maintenance checks to ensure proper functioning of installed systems
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters to complete installations and troubleshoot issues
• Perform diagnostic testing and ensure all systems operate correctly after installation
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including installation procedures and system configurations
• Adhere to safety protocols during all phases of installation and maintenance tasks
• Communicate effectively with clients or team members regarding project status and technical details

Experience

• Prior experience with mechanical work or vehicle maintenance is preferred
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and wiring is advantageous
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics for GPS system installation
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in various environments and conditions

Pay: $50,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
