We are a long‑established manufacturer of rotationally moulded plastic products, supplying both proprietary and custom-designed solutions to a wide range of industries. Due to retirement, we are now seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to take ownership of our design function and support new product development from concept to production., along with a variety of other interesting responsibilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated young engineer to gain hands‑on experience across mechanical design, product development, graphics, costing, prototyping and customer interaction — all within a supportive SME environment.

What You Will Do

  • Design new products and develop concepts with 3D models and production drawings.
  • Prepare mould drawings, BOMs, costing sheets and manufacturing files.
  • Support customer projects, create visuals, sketches and approval documents.
  • Assist with prototype trials, testing, modifications and component sourcing.
  • Produce marketing graphics, brochures and product documentation.
  • Manage day‑to‑day design administration within the design department.

What You Bring

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or related discipline.
  • Skills in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD, graphic, and web design.
  • Creativity, problem‑solving ability and a practical engineering and process mindset.
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative and work independently.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to be a leader and grow a team
