The Role
The successful Graduate candidate will join the Engineering Design team in a supporting role, ensuring design projects are completed on time and to a high level of detail and accuracy. You will be responsible for meeting with engineers and other stakeholders regarding transforming ideas and preliminary designs into computer generated models using CAD software. You may be required to work as part of a team or individually on a project. To ensure success as a CAD Technician at Hanley Energy, you should have extensive working knowledge with CAD software, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work as part of a team. A top-class CAD Technician is a technical wizard, creating exact computer models of product and machine designs according to the project or stakeholder’s specifications.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Reporting to the Electrical Design Engineering Manager (LV), the ECAD Technician
  • will work as part of the ECAD team ensuring all deliverables required by the project
  • are developed in line with company protocols and procedures.
  • Following instructions to produce 2D general arrangement drawings from 3D Revit
  • Models & CAD 2D drawings, wiring diagrams, layouts, and panel designs for low
  • voltage power distribution systems
  • Communicate progress on design plan and design deliverables to the Electrical
  • CAD Design Lead
  • Submitting designs and BOM’s for review and any other design deliverable
  • documentation for approval by the assigned Project Engineer and Technical
  • Compliance Team.
  • Coordinating with the assigned Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, ensuring
  • alignment on deliverables and timelines and any running changes during the design
  • phase of a project.
  • Supporting continuous improvement & development of the ECAD Design Team
  • processes and controls

Requirements

  • Minimum level 6 qualification in Computer Aided Design, Electrical Engineering or
  • similar.
  • Previous experience with low voltage power distribution products would be an
  • advantage.
  • Experience with Solid Works Electrical or similar electrical design software.
  • Have excellent communication skills with a professional approach to work and sharp
  • eye for detail.
  • Good team player, but capable of working independently.
  • Driving License and Access to a vehicle
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to learn from senior engineers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to €30,000.00 per year
