Your role
The graphic designer will be based in the Communications Department. The job holder will provide graphic design services to support the marketing and communications activities of the various areas of the University, its faculties and interdisciplinary centres, enhancing the university’s visibility and reputation with its various stakeholders.
Main responsibilities:
- Support the University’s needs in terms of graphic design products: design print documents (brochures, flyers, posters, invitations, etc) in alignment with corporate identity guidelines, and manage their production and deadlines
- Create graphic content, including templates, emails, banners, social media visuals, and other layouts to support communication and marketing activities
- Ensure graphic consistency across the various communications channels used by the University, its faculties and interdisciplinary centres
- Create optimized Power Point templates and presentations
- Create print and web optimized pdfs
- Assist and consult with University services to produce and edit visual communication materials that are aligned with the brand's graphic guidelines
Your profile
- A Master’s / professional degree in graphic design or related field
- Excellent technical skills and in-depth knowledge of Adobe tools (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Reader) and other relevant design tools
- Experience in graphic design and print production
- Highly organised and able to prioritise a busy workload
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Accurate with good attention to detail
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of motion design (After Effects, Adobe Premiere) would be considered an asset
- Spoken and written fluency in English and French desired
- 5 years of experience in a similar role
