Greenkeeper

We are seeking a passionate Greenkeeper to join the team at Stackstown Golf Club, Kellystown Road, Rathfarnham 16, with a proven track record in golf course maintenance. The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative, is ambitious, a team player, and looking to further their career with Ireland's leading golf course management company.

This is a Full-Time Permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut tees, greens, surrounds, fairways, rough and semi-rough.
• Set up the golf course, including changing holes, moving tee markers, emptying bins, and cleaning surfaces of debris.
• Check machinery before use, fuel after use, and report any irregularities to the Head Greenkeeper immediately.
• Maintain good standards of health and safety for self and others.
• Repair divots on playing surfaces.
• Hand watering and irrigating turf.
• Identify and control weeds and pests.
• Identify and control turf diseases and disorders.
• Mark hazards, out-of-bounds, and ground under repair.
• Maintain bunkers.
• Renovate worn and damaged turf.
• Roll greens with a turf iron or similar.
• Drive a tractor with implements.
• Understand the rules of golf relating to golf course maintenance.
• Maintain trees and shrubs on the golf course.
• Communicate effectively with all team members in the venue and golfers on the course.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Previous experience desirable.
