Job Overview

• Position Title: Grounds Maintenance Foreperson (Supervisor / Team Lead)
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Guaranteed year-round stability across all seasons)
• Compensation Structure: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour (Commensurate with experience)
• Expected Hours: 40- 50 hours/ week

• Primary Location: Based out of Blackstock, ON, servicing properties across the broader Durham Region.
• Work Environment: Fast-paced, 100% outdoor environment requiring active, hands-on leadership in all weather conditions—from peak summer heat to demanding winter snow storms.
• Schedule & Hours: Standard daylight hours during the landscaping season, shifting to on-call, weather-dependent hours during winter snow-clearing operations to ensure 24/7 property safety.

Supervisor & Team Leadership Focus

• Crew Management: Serve as the direct supervisor on-site, leading, motivating, and guiding a dedicated crew through daily operations.
• Operational Oversight: Bridge the gap between hands-on field operations and management by managing workflow and task delegation.
• Quality & Safety Control: Enforce high workmanship standards and strict safety protocols across all warm-weather landscaping and winter snow removal jobs.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional landscaping experience is required.
• Leadership Background: Proven ability or clear readiness to step directly into a supervisory/team lead role.
• Traits: Strong communication skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the resilience to lead an outdoor crew in all weather conditions.
• License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred (for operating facility vehicles, plow trucks, and travelling between properties).

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
