Description:
Emmetts is seeking an experienced, proactive, and strategically minded professional to join the Sales and Marketing team as Group Inventory Controller. If you thrive on process improvement, enjoy working across multiple sites, and bring strong expertise in machinery sales and inventory management, this is an exciting opportunity to influence outcomes at a Group level.

About the Role
The Group Inventory Controller plays a key role in optimising stock control across our multi-branch network. You will collaborate closely with Branch Managers, Sales teams, and the wider business to strengthen inventory accuracy, improve stock utilisation, and support strategic decision making.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate stock levels across all branches to support operational requirements and sales performance.
Partner with Sales Representatives and Branch Managers to effectively manage new and used machinery, assisting in the valuation of trade ins, used machinery assessment, stock transfers, and ordering.
Lead and execute the online presence of all Emmetts Wholegood’s stock
Oversee the evaluation, categorisation, and readiness of used machinery to maximise resale value and minimise aged stock.
Lead strategic stock control practices that enhance availability, reduce carrying costs, and improve overall inventory health.
Ensure consistent compliance with company policies, manufacturer expectations, and internal processes throughout the ordering and sales lifecycle.
Identify opportunities to strengthen inventory systems, reporting, and processes, contributing to continuous improvement across the group.

What You Bring

Demonstrated experience in machinery ordering, sales, and inventory management—preferably within agriculture, machinery, or automotive sectors.
Strong understanding of inventory processes, sales cycles, and machinery product knowledge.
Proven ability to assess and value used equipment and trade ins.
Strategic thinking, a process-driven mindset, and the confidence to influence and guide stock decisions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Willingness and ability to travel to Horsham during onboarding and routinely collaborate with the broader team.
