Introduction:
Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef is located in the heart of Queensland’s Whitsunday Islands, offering guests an unforgettable experience surrounded by the natural beauty of the Great Barrier Reef.

As a Guest Service Agent, I provide friendly and professional service to guests throughout their stay. My responsibilities include welcoming and checking in guests, assisting with enquiries and requests, managing reservations and payments, and ensuring guests have a comfortable and memorable experience. The role requires excellent communication, customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail.

About the Role

•
Ensure professionalism and accuracy when handling guest information, billing, arrivals, and departures.

•
Follow all cash-handling, security, and hotel procedures to maintain accurate and secure transactions.

•
Review reservations to ensure guest details, room types, and rates are correct.

•
Accurately record, communicate, and follow up on guest messages and requests.

•
Make the guest experience a priority at all times by providing friendly, professional, and efficient service.

•
Use a positive and proactive selling approach to maximise occupancy, room rates, and overall revenue.

•
Work effectively with other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day hotel operations and a high standard of guest satisfaction.

About You:
•
Present a professional, friendly, and confident image at all times.

•
Be a quick thinker with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

•
Demonstrate strong teamwork and willingly assist colleagues when needed.

•
Possess excellent telephone etiquette, with strong negotiation, upselling, and selling skills.

•
Manage time effectively and prioritise tasks to ensure a productive and efficient service.

•
Remain calm, composed, and professional when working under pressure or handling challenging situations.

•
Build and maintain positive, cooperative working relationships with colleagues, guests, and other departments.

•
Have proven Front Office or Reception experience, with strong knowledge of Opera/Fidelio. Experience with Opera Cloud is highly desirable.

•
Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable working with computer-based systems.

•
Demonstrate a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional guest service and creating positive guest experiences.
